A spectacular photo showing a space shuttle launching in Cape Canaveral from view not too many people see.

Amateur astronomer Thierry Legault took this unbelievable photo of the Space Shuttle Atlantis silhouetted by the sun.

This is a stunning view of Hurricane Earl from space. The photo was taken by an American Astronaut from the International Space Station

Here is a collection of beautiful photos from space. My guess is that all these photos were taken from lower earth orbit (LEO) either from the space shuttle or the space station.

Taken by a Russian supply ship this photo gives a rare glimpse at the docked station and shuttle from a distance. With photos taken from the station it's difficult to get a sense of the proportionality of the two objects but this picture gives a great view with incredible detail.
