Naruto is summoned by Shima along with some other toads, visibly surprised to see Konohagakure utterly destroyed. Knowing fully well that Pain is responsible, Naruto quickly destroys the rejuvenated Asura Path after it tries to assault Tsunade. Naruto ordered Gamakichi to take Tsunade to a safe place and to inform everyone not to interfere in his battle with Pain. The Deva Path stood by while the Animal Path sent out its summons against Naruto. Using Sage Art: Great Ball Rasengan, Naruto sent the summons flying to be dispatched by Gamabunta, Gamaken and Gamahiro. He proceeded to disable the Preta Path and prepare Wind Release: Rasenshuriken. Deva Path claimed that Naruto and he had the same teacher and should have the same visions on peace, involving Naruto sacrificing his life and tailed beast. Naruto angrily rejected him and threw the new Rasenshuriken, in the process shocking Fukasaku, Shima, Sakura and Kō Hyūga.
